Our Story

Let’s be honest, I’m NO Knifemaker! I graduated in 1998, a Presidential Honor Graduate with a certificate in Horology from Kilgore College in Kilgore, TX. Soon after that, I started attending the ETA School of Higher Learning in Gretchen, Switzerland. I returned to East Texas, The Yellow Rose Tyler Tx, and opened The Watchmaker. The Watchmaker started off in a tiny closet in the back of a friend’s work shop. Long hours turned into long days, the months turned into years. Now we cover a wide range of exciting, sparkly, sharp, and time-sensitive hobbies.

We are a full-service jewelry store including the simplest of repairs, custom handmade pieces, diamonds of any size, shape, and color, and even promotional jewelry by thousands. I personally specialize, with my own hands, in watch restoration, repair, and alterations. Of course, we sell a variety of name brand watches and keep a healthy inventory of interesting and unique vintage pieces. We average about 1 clock repair a day and sell and set up some of the finest clocks in the world. We keep a healthy stock of beard products from balms to oils, and even soap. We even entertain my personal obsession of sharp, shiny things made of exotic materials some people call knives. We are real people that do quality work and happen to love watches, knives, beard products, and our customers.

Now after all the BS above, which is 100% accurate, this website is an attempt to bring us into the 21st century. We are used to doing business the old fashioned way. For now, we still are going to make you call, message, or email us. We ain’t Amazon. We want to speak to you personally to make sure we can make you happy.
