Shipping and Returns
Our goal at The Knifemaker is to offer you the best shipping options, no matter where you live. Every day, we deliver to hundreds of customers across the world, ensuring that we provide the very highest levels of responsiveness to you at all times.
The time frame for order delivery is divided into two parts:
- Processing time: A combination of order verification, tailoring, quality checking is executed before all orders are sent to the manufacturer for dispatch within 48 hours after the order is placed. The manufacturers process the orders, which takes an additional 2–4 days.
- Shipping time: This refers to the time it takes for items to be shipped from our warehouse to the destination. US orders are shipped by Priority mail, which is a US Postal Service product. After processing and leaving the warehouse, items usually take between 2 and 5 days to arrive at their destination but can take longer from time to time. International delivery usually takes about 15–30 business days.
Regrettably we cannot be responsible for your package after it is delivered to your address. We use the United States Postal Service, which is the world standard in shipping and mail delivery. We will not be responsible for lost or stolen packages or items. We will gladly provide you proof that we shipped your package promptly. Please understand that you are responsible for providing a safe destination for your package.
Due to the personal unique nature of our products, we are not able to accept returns of any of our products; all sales are final. We appreciate you making careful selections and are certain you will be pleased with the quality of our products.
International shipping policy
We want everyone to be happy and receive their package as soon as possible.
Shipping charges and available service will vary based on package weight and country of destination.
Orders can take up to 5 business days to process and be shipped. You will be emailed tracking information with tracking for your order inside the United States, however, there is no way for us to track packages outside the United States. After they leave the United States, we have no control over how long it takes for you to receive your package or what you are charged for taxes applied by your country or province.
We proudly use USPS because they ship quickly inside the United States and connect with all other national carries.
Orders to international P.O. Boxes will be shipped with USPS and then delivered by your local post office or other carrier. Tracking information is not available. Delivery can take weeks.
Customs and Duties
All applicable customs fees, taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the customer. Customs authorities require that we state the value of your order directly on your package – the value is the retail cost. We cannot mark any package(s) as a “Gift” in order to avoid customs and duties fees.
Please note that on rare occasions, customs agents may delay the delivery of some packages at their discretion.

The Knifemaker is not responsible for lost or stolen items after they leave the United States. We want everyone to be happy but we can not be responsible for another country or province’s shipping companies or national mail services.
GST (Goods & Services Tax) and PST (Provincial Sales Tax) vary based on the province to which your order is shipped and on its value. The duty is determined by the value of the merchandise and its place of origin.
Goods that are entirely made in the USA will be duty free, but still subject to GST/PST.
